Key Lime Pie Bars
A family favorite dessert combining a graham cracker crust with a tangy key lime filling and whipped cream topping.
Ingredients
- 2.5 sleeves graham crackers crushed
- 0.5 cup salted butter melted
- 1 sprinkle sugar
- 3 cans sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup key lime juice
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 whole egg yolks
- 1 tbsp lime zest
- 1.5 cups heavy cream
- 0.5 cup powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a bowl combine crushed graham crackers, melted butter, and sugar.

Mix until well combined.

Spread and press down evenly in a 9 x 13 pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

While that's baking, in a bowl combine sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, vanilla extract, sour cream, egg yolks, and lime zest.

Mix until well combined.

Pour over hot crust.

Bake at 325 degrees for 18-20 minutes.

Let cool.

While it's cooling make the topping by adding heavy cream in a large mixing bowl.

Mix until stiff peaks form.

Add in powdered sugar and mix.

Spread over cooled bars and top with lime zest!
