Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Recidex, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The Service

Recidex is a meal lifecycle application that lets you save recipes, plan meals, manage grocery lists, and share food experiences with your household. We provide the service on a freemium basis: a free tier with limited features and a paid Pro tier with expanded capabilities.

3. Your Account

• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• One person per account. Household sharing is available on the Pro plan for up to 2 members.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.

4. Your Content

You own your recipes. Recipes, photos, notes, and other content you create on Recidex remain your intellectual property. By posting content, you grant Recidex a limited license to display, store, and transmit that content as necessary to operate the service (for example, showing your public recipes to other users, or sharing recipes with your household).

When you delete your account, your content is permanently removed from our servers.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or hateful
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Upload malware, spam, or automated content
• Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data
• Use the service to scrape, harvest, or collect data about other users
• Circumvent rate limits, security measures, or access controls
• Use the service for any purpose other than personal meal planning and recipe management

Violation of these rules may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination. See our Content Moderation Policy for details.

6. Subscriptions & Billing

Recidex Pro is available as a monthly subscription at $3/month. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.

• You can cancel your subscription at any time through Settings > Billing or Stripe’s customer portal.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain Pro access until then.
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
• We may change pricing with 30 days’ notice. Existing subscribers keep their current price for as long as their subscription remains active.

7. Limitation of Liability

Recidex is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Recidex is a recipe management tool, not a medical or nutritional advisor. We do not verify the accuracy, safety, or nutritional content of user-submitted recipes. Always use your own judgment when preparing food, especially regarding allergies and dietary restrictions.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or pose a risk to other users or the service. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination, except in cases of severe violations. You may appeal account actions by contacting support@recidex.com.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Recidex after changes constitutes acceptance.
