Ingredients
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 4 slices bacon
- 1 unit medium yellow onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 3 unit medium russet potatoes
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups kale
- 1 to taste salt and black pepper

In a large pot, cook sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove and set aside.

In the same pot, cook bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.

Add onion to the pot and cook until soft, about 3-4 minutes. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.

Pour in chicken broth and add potatoes, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes until potatoes are tender.

Stir in heavy cream, kale, cooked sausage, and bacon. Simmer 5 minutes until kale is wilted.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot!
