Amy's Lemon Bars
A tangy lemon bar dessert with a buttery shortbread crust, creamy lemon filling, and sweet frosting.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup butter softened
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 3 tsp flour
- 4 unit eggs
- 4 cups sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 unit lemons rind of
- 1 tsp lemon juice zest of
- 1 cup butter
- 4 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 unit lemon rind of
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream

Cream butter and powdered sugar. Add salt and flour and mix.

Put in buttered and floured 9x13 pan and bake at 350 for 15 minutes.

Mix filling ingredients and pour over hot crust. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes longer.

Cool until completely cooled. Refrigerate if wanted.

For frosting: cream butter and fresh lemon juice. Rind of 1 lemon. Add powdered sugar to desired consistency. Spread over lemon bars.
