Ghirardelli Hot Fudge Sauce Recipe

Homemade hot fudge sauce made in just 5 minutes with semi-sweet chocolate, sugar, cream, and corn syrup.

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 6 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream cold or room temperature
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened natural or Dutch-process cocoa powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Directions

    Whisk everything except the butter and vanilla together in a saucepan over medium heat, stirred and smooth.

    Bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes (or until 220°F).

    Then stir in the butter and vanilla.

    The sauce thickens as it cools into the glossy consistency.
